Why You Been Making Mommy Do The Ugly Cry Every Damn Morning, You Little Poopoocacheads!
Do you ever find yourself in awe and shock of the things that come out of the mouths of your children? Of course you do…you’re a parent.
On the way to school this morning:
Josh: So I’m going to tell you something and you can’t be sad.
Kathy: Oh boy.
Josh: I know Superman can’t fly. I know he’s not real. He’s just a superhero in books and movies and stuff.
Matty: No, you’re crazy…Superman is totally real. You can’t say that Josh, tell him mom!
Kathy: Matty, if you think Superman is real…he’s real.
Matty: Plus mommy, you love him so much right? He not fake! He real time man who shoots lazers and flies!
(Josh looks at me in the rearview mirror and I give him a wink and he winks back)
Josh: Do you think when we go to heaven, Jesus will send a plane for us or we will actually fly with wings?
Kathy: I don’t know…but either way, it sounds great.
Matty: If you and daddy die, I’m going to be so mad, I not going to talk to you no more.
Kathy: Calm down Matty, everything’s ok.
Josh: Yeah Matt, mom is only 40 and dad is only 36, they gonna be here a super long time.
Matty: Promise me you not get super old Mom…You have to promise. Do it right now!
Josh: I hope he doesn’t send a plane or teleport me up there…I really want to fly…just once, that would be so super rad.
3 things: *Josh totally talks like me…Hahaha. *Matty is a rough and tumble little guy but he is such a sensitive little boy. He finds a way to break my heart a little everyday with his sweetness and a happy sadness. *Will there ever be a morning where I don’t start they day without wanting to burst out into tears?
