Movie Review: Wild

All the feels I had saved up for 2015 was sucked out of me watching the movie Wild. Empowering, beautifully acted (Reese will be nominated for every damn award in existance), well written, and it’s one of the few movies I’ve ever seen where the delicate use of flashbacks is done so very well. Hard to watch at times because of all the brokenness and utter amount of crap some people go through in life some by choice and some not. Also the love story and loss of ones mother. My mom is most definitely my soul mate (I believe in more than one) so man…some scenes, got pretty “I must have something in my eyyyye” for me. The will to forgive oneself and the knowledge that sometimes the journey where you have no set destination and plan is the one that provides you with exactly what you need… dang. So everything that you’ve gone through until that very moment of clarity…you can finally set yourself free from the guilt, from the pain. Not by anyone else’s will or doing…but on your own terms, in your own time, in your own damn way.I’ve read reviews where people say the movie was extremely boring and pointless…

Needless to say, they are either robots with no feelings or they saw a completely different movie entirely because you can’t help but to feel emotionally attached to this movie. This movie had all the lessons of what we could do to be better people not only in the wild but in society where humans can be more dangerous than the animals that crawl on fours.

So in a sense I went on the journey with her and it was pretty damn freakin rad and my feet didn’t hurt or anything.

One of my favorite movies ever.

Favorite quote from it: You can put yourself in the way of beauty.

DAYUM.

I give the movie an A.

Go see it.

Congrats to Reese Witherspoon and Laura Dern on their well deserved Oscar nominations!
